Traveling from West to East across Michigan’s Upper Peninsula you get the feeling you are experiencing America in its earliest days.  More affectionately known as the U.P., it is 16,452 square miles of wilderness (mostly) inhabited by black bear, deer, moose, bobcats, snowshoe rabbits, beaver, porcupine and various other forest fauna.
